About Barnet Judo Club

Barnet Judo Club was founded by Bryan Marcus over 30 years ago, as a non profit making family and community-based club. The club is affiliated to the British Judo Council (which, itself, is an affiliate body of the British Judo Association). The BJC and BJA organise a considerable number of events throughout the year which our club members attend.

Coaching at the club is led by:

All our coaches and helpers have full up-to-date qualifications and maintain annual coaching registration with the BJC.

All Coaches and Admin have Enhanced DBS checks. First aid, and Safe Guarding.

Barnet Judo Club has previously attracted and featured visits from several high profile Judoka (players), including Jane Bridge (8th Dan, 1st Womens u48Kg World Champion, 3 x Womens u48Kg European Champion), Alan Carlisle (5th Dan) and Nobuhisa Hagiwara (Kodokan 7th Dan).

Fees and Membership

You set up your DD with us when you join, through the Coacha App.
We accept cash, card and bank transfer for payments for visitors or occasional payments.

Membership

The membership year starts and finishes at the end of September, so members joining part way through the year will pay a pro-rata fee for the months up to the following September, with a minimum charge of £30.

New Applicants (includes BJC Licence, club membership and insurance) £72.
Renewals (includes BJC Licence ,club membership and insurance) £68.

Session Fees

Beginners/Prospective members:

first session free to trial judo.

Primaries class:

£30 per month for weekly session with coach invite when they feel the child is ready to join both sessions.

Juniors:

£30 per month for bi-weekly sessions.

Senior Members:

£30 per month for bi-weekly sessions.

Non-members and occasional visitors: £10 per session
